Rochester Public Library Has a Native Seed Library

Upstairs at the Rochester Public Library, just to the right of the help desks, there is a stand dedicated to expanding native prairies. The seeds are free and anybody can pick them up! Further, they are asking for donations of seeds—to help keep their noble project sustainable.

In addition to the seeds themselves, the library has other gardening tools. For example, the garden sieve can be used to remove chaff from seeds that are collected (it would be great for Culver’s Root Seeds!). Finally, make sure to check out a gardening book on the way out!
